Did you ever wonder, too? - Basic Questions
Sometimes you have a question, and nobody seems to be able to answer you.
Therefore I make this thread here, and you can post your Questions; I will edit them in the First Post here.
I hope Flayra or anyone else from the Development Team answers them.

Please no Questions about Natural Selection 2 as they belong to another Subforum!

Aliens

General

Yet to be asked

Gorge

Yet to be asked

Skulk

RFK - see General Natural Selection

Lerk

Bite
Why does the Lerk have a close range Melee Attack (as of 17th Nov 2006) when it is designated a supportive Role with Spores and Umbra?
Isn't it totaly Paradox to give a Creature, that is meant to stay in the Background, an Attack, that needs it to come into Hand to Hand Range versus totaly ranged Enemys?

Fade

Yet to be asked

Onos

Why has the Onos' Role been changed from a Tank to a Hit and Run creature?
It's Size and pure Mass simply suggest a Role as "here to stay" instead of Hightaling after the first Volley of Shots.
Even while it's not reality, and the Onos is an Alien Creature, this doesn't seem very real as, already said, its to big and heavy to run around like a Ferrari on Speed.

Marines

General

Yet to be asked

Light Armor Marine also known as Vanilla

Yet to be asked

Jetpack

Yet to be asked

Heavy Armor

Yet to be asked

Commander

Yet to be asked

General Natural Selection
Inspiration, Motives, Gameplay, etc.

Resources for Kills
What was the Motivation to include it?
Im just being curious since it tipps of the Balance to the Marines' Favor and destroys the former Role the had Skulk as the suicide Creature heading Head first into a slugfest.

Round Duration
Why the Gameplay has been speed up? Ok, I can understand that the average/casual Gamer dislikes to sit several Hours in front of the PC to just play one Round, but that is what the "more Hardcore Players" liked most. Including me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Are there Plans to add in a third Game mode to bring that back? I would appreciate that.

*eof

That to me seems a pretty poor question because dinosaurs were big, weighed a tonne and could still travel rather quickly.

    Edit: Worthy of a stick?

They where designed another Way. They didn't run through small corridors in that they barely fit.
Some Animations show a way of walking, especialy for TRex and other Carnivores, that their walk/run where more bobing than smooth.
And, yeah, I know, that a Hippo or an Elefant can be incredible fast, but again, they at least seem to be build not as the Onos is.
Plus, the Onos was and is a big, farking Bulletmagnet.

The Lerk argument is REALLY good and I wish a developer could give his/her comment on that.
