Did anyone else get a real kick out of the Super Metroid homage? I absolutely loved it. :D
For those that missed it, it was the fight with the giant thing in the caves. That boss fight went almost exactly like a boss in Super Metroid. There's a big guy your weapons doesn't work on, but shooting him in the mouth makes him move back. Eventually he falls in the lava, and then comes out only to die right in front of you. So awesome. :D

    DOOM, I didn't get the reference, but I loved the boss. Spent twenty minutes working it out.

    I'm on the final boss right now. I figured out basically how you're supposed to beat it, but I can't retreat anywhere, and I don't have a sniper <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

    There's a sniper rifle in the room right before the boss fight. And a chainsaw rifle. And grenades. Stock up on ammo before the fight. Then just shoot him. A lot. There's really no trick to it.

    Also, you can get past him, and get to the Troika up there- its not lighted, so you'll have about 5 to 10 seconds to hit him with it, just do it then get off and on the light behind you.

    Ahaha, thanks DOOM. The sniper rifle really, really helped. And by really helped, I mean I probably would have resorted to attempting a chainsaw kill without it.

    DOOM, what's your gamertag? I'm looking for people to play co op or versus.

    To save your fanny from the bats, stay in the light. They don't attack you while you are illuminated. You can get about 6 sniper shots to the Boss's head from the cover they provide you in the beginning which is lit up. After that he's usually on you (he doesn't jump over obstacles like the rest of the enemy AI), and you have to time the bats flying around to duck and cover of his machine gun. I think it takes about 10 shots to his chrome to take him down.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

    That boss in Super Metroid was the lamest thing since lame came to lametown. One of the most pathetic boss battles I've ever participated in.
