<div class="IPBDescription">playing alien and marine like superman</div>I see many players they walking like flying.
At marines i saw very rare, but i see there strafe at there jumping.
But i see many alien players they run and jump and if they jump the run to side.
So he can run for example in co maps, from alien start in few seconds to marine start and kill all marines, no body can hit him.
He run like a flying superman.
I saw a gorge to, he run so fast like an skulk on cele.
Dont know how many players do like this.
Is this a script?
I hear about "bunnyhopping".
This sucks so big, its imposible to kill them (only with gl).

By exploiting the fact that curving your path in air increases your speed, you can achieve gains of up to 70% over default speed (you can get even higher while in the air, but it gets reset to 170% when you touch the ground)
The first jump of a bunnyhop is called a "glide jump", and exploits the extra speed you get when you look at the floor at a certain angle while holding the respective strafe key. You don't need to be able to glide jump to bunnyhop.
Because you start to slow down as soon as you hit the ground (due to friction) many players either bind +jump to their mousewheel (and scroll it just before they touch the ground to jump up again) or use a jump script. Either way, you want to get back up in the air again as soon as possible.
Put this in your userconfig.cfg file in your \ns folder (if you do not have one, make one):
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->bind space +shiz
alias b "+jump;wait;-jump;wait"
alias +shiz "+moveup;b;b;b;b;+jump"
alias -shiz "-moveup;-jump"<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
This is a "5 jump script", because it has 5 instances of the +jump command in it. You can add or remove the "b"'s (delimited by a semicolon) to add/remove jumps depending on how well the script works for you.

here is the demo hf

bind mwheeldown "+jump"
dont use things like 3 jump, on some servers it wont work because of blockscripts and its better to learn yourself
So funny how people need scripts to do it though, it's so easy. The mouse has a scrollwheel not just for weapon selection.
And as a marine you can do crouch jump it's quite difficult to explain... there's also another way to gain some speed as a marine try to move close to the wall and press foward key, you should go faster.
I find it harder shooting at a skulk that runs straight towards me..

Everything is easy then. The mousewheel could completely replace a script and vice versa, and you have some people saying mwheel is actually easier than a script.
It's not a matter of easy or hard. It's just playing the way you feel is comfortable.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yeah because when people see the word script they lose all sense of logic.
edit: to make my point a little more clear.
A Xjump script (often called a bunnyhop script) issues X jump commands each time you press the key its bound to. X being the number of +jumps in the script.
+jump bound to the mousewheel issues a +jump command each time your mousewheel "clicks"
Each of these things produce the same resaults, spamming the +jump command so you can time your jump for bunnyhoping. No one way is more cheap than the other, they do the samething.
If you dislike 3jump scripts you should also dislike binding +jump to the mousehweel.
Secondly if not mistaken dont most leagues ban the usage of NS scripts?
your right scripts do play the game for you.. thats why i hate them.. if you have to use a script to b-hop uninstall NS and dont ever play again cause your bad

A guide to bunnyhoping:
Put this in your userconfig.cfg
alias b "+jump;wait;-jump;wait"
alias +3jump "b;b;+jump"
alias -3jump "-jump"
bind space +3jump
Load ns. Press space and like magic you will begin bunnyhopping, really you will, I swear. Try it, just try it, it will make you the best bunnyhopper around.
Ps. Leagues dont ban for scripts, some leagues have used mp_bs 1 put I think they reverted to mp_bs 0 (might be wrong on this one)
If the above poster was being sarcastic avoid this post.
Do your homework next time before making assumtions please.
so i'm better than all of you.

Anyhow, I dun think it makes a difference that much because there isn't really anything in the game that's impossible to do without scripting. It won't help you with <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pudgy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::gorge::" border="0" alt="pudgy.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tiny.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::onos::" border="0" alt="tiny.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fade.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::fade::" border="0" alt="fade.gif" /> or <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" />
Plus, scripting makes you lose a bit of control sometimes.
I don't think it's cheating to use them though and I don't really get annoyed at them because they're available to everyone.

same thing as before, no need for scripts or mousewheel, and newbies will learn it a lot easier
I knew a clan that required a 3 jump in matches, just cause mwheel doesn't give you perfect timing every time, it's a very miniscule difference but apparently it made a big enough benefit in competitive play.
*marine kills a couple of skulks*
pubbie: scripts!
good luck consistently pressing jump on exactly the same frame as when you hit the ground...
have you ever measured your speed? i would be amazed if you could even get over 400 without using mwheel or a script.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
uhh, i can bhop at full speed with space bound to jump, im sure a lot of other people can and do aswell
BTW, what's the command to measure your speed? I heard it a LONG time ago, but it seems to have slipped my mind.
Your reflexes must be godlike.

this might require developer 1 though. not shure <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />
