So if you hit an marine you see on his back this :

stupid examples

Other marine friends can shoot the parasite and remove it (funny in friendly fire mode <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> )
I think if a marine shoot a friend, they will look at him, the other marine walk around him and ... like benny hill right <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

    parasites were never meant to be removed. so, no.

    i can see where they can be removed, but maybe with a welder? Just shooting them off would make them useless. anyone could remove them easily. i do understand about makeing the parasite visiable and i think that would be cool. have a little organizm latched onto the marine

    good idea, the parasite can only remove with welder.
    or they cant remove, but the parasite is visible.

    I disagree with the idea of removing parasites but it would be funny if parasites give small damages like half of spores until a medpack is given to a marine. So it will be useful to parasite the marines already parasited and give more para kill <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    good idea to, maybe it give a marine 1% damage all 20 seconds.

    well if you going ot be able to stack them like that then you will definately want to be able to take it off somehow. or that marines is just a waste of resources (constant medpacks)

    maybe parasite acts like acid and take armor away only

    Last time I checked, acid did damage to health.

    Perhaps instead of reducing health or being removable just make the parasites slightly slow the marine? Make it stackable and you got a cool concept on your hands.

    (Ahh! 10 parasites! i'm down to walking speed!)


    Of course, that would be a vast difference than what it is now.

    yeah i remember armory used to say "remove parasites" but it never worked and it was too difficult to fix so they scrapped it.

    i like the idea but i would prefer something not so obvious as a great red blotch on my back.
    Prehaps Eyes Glowed red if you were para-sited.
    ill just throw these ideas in too.

    Para-Site = Aliens Standard motion tracking

    Para-Noia = Marines randomly hear phantom aliens sounds like skulk foot steps, chuckling, etc

    Para-lysis = Marines 15 secs after being infected cannot move for 5 secs

    Each infection make would make your eyes glow a different colour.

    How about being able to listen to their voice-chat while the marine is alive? Not anyone elses on the team, just that marine's.

    As for Rival's idea of Para-Noia, that's just cool. O.o

    I agree with this..better more subtle than a colored area of where parasited because there wont be a way to remove them (there are always plugins for that and currently are some) and would be alot more coding required. Also should show up on minimap where the marine is. Should also show the health of the marine somehow. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/marine.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::marine::" border="0" alt="marine.gif" />

    Parasite icons should show health based on their color and also allow the marines to be visible on the mini map. Having the marine hear phantom skulk steps would also be amazingly hauss.

    Well, if parasites could be removed it would either have to be some trouble to do, or parasite would have to give a greater advantage to aliens.

    Why? The simple reason is that if parasites aren't useful enough and get removed to fast, nobody will bother to parasite for the alien team. Parasite is a great teamwork thing to do, I hope it stays that way.

    Leave parasite the same. It works fine and changing would only anger the competitive players. UWE must take in-consideration of both public players and competitive players.

    its only an visual extra, not a huge change.
    maybe there is no visual like this, maybe the marine looks more ill.
