This is a combat map I made some time ago. I want some help in making finishing and finalizing this from people. If anyone can get this on a server ofr playtesting, please do so feedback is appreciated. Also be really harsh in judging this guys, I want to use this to get back in to mapping again.

    Also a problem, which has persisted a long time in the ns mapping community. Lack of servers willing to run custom maps, reason being that people usually mass disconnect after seeing a custom map being downloaded towards their precious ns install <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

    "scared of new maps theory first thought up by KFDM"

    Mirror issues: Perhaps use bry's ns server to host you map file if it's that slow?

    I wouldn't say people are scared of custom maps, just that they haven't played the map before so they have no idea about strategies and that. Moreso for NS maps.

C'mon, who wouldn't play ns_hulk having seen a promo vid??? Even if you don't have any specialist hosting, you could always put together a YouTube trailer.

    from the looks of the screenshots the brush work is very clean and solid and not overdone in places, its nice also the texture usage is very strong, nice one

    Ah, the science fiction far into the future movie with a World War 2 flakk 38 which shoots lasers on the roof of their ship where the operator stands in the vacuum of space? No diss or anything, but a buddy of mine (ww2nut) laughed his ###### off when he saw it. I haven't seen the movie yet, but he said the movie was pretty good <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    Or even better, have the NS team release Threewave/ID Software style map packs with the best community maps in them.

    Atleast one good came from my pants map thread. So Spacer, get a thread started on promoting community maps and getting an official map pack on it's way? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
