R4k kinda makes sense for the khaara but not for the marines.
Also marines on the losing side - thanks to R4k, are able to hold out for an annoying long time before they go down. The aliens don't have that same luxury when they're about to go down.
On the other hand, I also think that R4k is probably a very good solution to implement res balance issues for small versus large servers.

Now, stuff that needs to be left out...hit and run onos, it needs to be a freaking tank class, not a hit and run oversized skulk. It needs to be very tough but slow. Once it gets in range, it should tear apart bases and rines alike. Not this hit and run devour bull.
Bunny hopping should probably be left out of NS2 as well. Not that I'm against it per-se, but if NS2 is going to be more cinematic and 'real' I shouldn't be looking at a skulk acting like the floor is lava.
yeah realism is really important in this game, i think buildings should be left out of ns2 as well because they cannot appear out of no where, same with medpacks, ammopacks, respawning and black marine models
Its not the realism thats the problem with it per se, it just destroys the atmosphere of NS whenever you see a marine bhopping around like he's playing CS.
I never liked CO Maps...nothing against CO, but CO caused the CStrike Kiddy army to arrive(mostly). Maybe CO will be in NS2 again, maybe not. RFK for Marines. They get the ability to preserver their res investment via recycling structures and picking up guns from fallen marines. Aliens get no such nicety.

The only problem with that is turret farms are nearly inoperable to begin with, so no one builds them anymore. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Instead you get mines (intelligently destroyed with spit) and sometimes electricity (can be overloaded since it only targets 2 creatures at once).
Edit: By the way, everyone loves using that standard example of killing pylons to shut down cannons, but in practice that was usually a stupid idea since Pylons had 3 times as much health as cannons. It was almost always easier to just kill the cannons first.

I think cloaking is fair, just depends on how the marines work together. I think most cloak haters are marine only players or people that don't understand stalking pray. Can't have cloak and focus at the same time unless co.... or their is a chamber

i dont want a 'cancel'(v) button in the commander mode to be like it is currently,( i know i could probably adjust the controls but i tend to use defaults) , has anyone an issue with that one? i keep putting rt or so instead of a medpack as a commander, it might be a problem inside my head , sorry if its true.

What if they just change offense chambers into Offensive Chambers - instead of dealing damage, they de moralize the enemy by swearing at them and spewing up and things lol
Motion is not a full counter, its only a partial counter. That said, a partial counter that operates universally without needing any further attention from the Commander is still pretty damn good. Sprinkle in some forward scans on important targets and you're pretty much good to go.

I'm against bunny hopping in all its forms. Especially for humans, because it just looks too stupid and unrealistic.
