Hello all you ns players out there. I would like to be the first to say hello from all of us at the <BAD> Server. Thank you so much for giving us such a great game to play and for all the time and dedication that you have put forth in doing so. We are looking forward to many good things for this game in the future and would like to wish you the best of luck.

    I've been watching your server progress from a nob-palace focused on custom combat and siege maps, into a server with a growing reputation or NS_classic style and a steady user base.

    I'm happy with that direction and hope it continues further down that course.

    Awesome! That is what I was looking for. Servers using the Speex Voice Codec, I don't see many servers using them. It's a big shame Half-Life 2 doesn't use Speex. Are you sure by the way you are using Speex Voicequality 5? Doesn't hear like it.

    Yeah i've talked to a few people from the bad server. I'm actually really good with one of the bad players who explained that hacking event to me. It was kinda crappy that guy did that cause its possible at giving you all a bad rep.

    There has also been a lot of admin abuse ( in the past ) that has went down ALOT and im actually happy it has !_!

    yeah i play there whenever I get a chance to play NS.

    sometimes the stupidest crap happens though. Like when (and i shall refrain from using any names) some idiot jumps in the comm chair and decides to relocate in the vent near marine start on ns_caged.     Don't get me wrong, I love g4b2, It was one of the first servers I regulared... but their ban policies aren't the best... not that mine are.. but I don't go banning the wrong steam ids or anything.

    I got banned in early July this summer for spamming ads for my servers and bashing g4b2s.... which I would never do. An angry player that had been banned from my server for disrespecting other players and admins, tagged a variation of my name (didn't take the time to even copy it exactly) and went around bashing servers and advertising mine. I had multiple admins come onto my servers, as I was playing on them and ask me who the hell I thought I was. I was obviously surprised and investigated. Turned out a donator from g4b2s had reported me on the forum, and submitted my steam id, not from the server console using status, but by looking up Ase in the g4b2s hlstats pages and finding my name, not the name that was on the server, but my original name that he had failed to copy right.

    I was perma banned within 15 minutes. I was extremely insulted because I had long played on g4b2s and know many of the regulars. I looked up the stats pages the donator had retrieved my steam id from to see that I had not logged any news stats for almost a month, and then pointed out that the submitted log showed a different steam id. I was unbanned after a few hours, but still, the complete lack common sense in their decision to ban without verifying anything really ###### me off.

    I read about the fun with Stain and he even got a hold of me the other day about an ansl team and the whole banned issue came up. I really think Cyko Mike made a bad decision, no pun intended.

    I would honestly say I didn't deserve it. I was never warned, kicked or banned while on the server. I just tried to connect one day and was banned. I don't know the story of Makaveli but his skill level is much higher than mine and they probably banned him because they thought it was "questionable," since for some reason they believe anyone in CAL (at the time) or better than their best players, are hacking.

    The only "incident" I can recall was when a friend of mine was banned and I asked STAINMAKER (the admin on at the time) why and was told not to question or talk back to admins. So I just went back to playing. It was probably the next day I tried to connect and found out I was banned.

    Maybe that's enough, but generally I'm a friendlying and willing to help. I've even tried to help them get an IRC channel up and running, and PAIN seems like an alright guy. I just don't know what happened.

    If anybody has a problem with anything that goes on in our server, incuding the admins, feel free to come to the website and let somebody know. Remember, there has to be a little "admin abuse" to keep all those @$$holes from ruining everyone else's fun.

    I have personally (among others) have had many problems with the BAD server. Their constant admin abuse and unnecessary foul language (example: admins cursing off new players because they are not sure what to do) is not something I consider to be very "new player friendly". Until they fix their situations with admins abusing power, <BAD> tagged people spamming for no reason and disrespecting new players I would suggest not going there. In fact, if your name is "NSPlayer" the BAD server will automatically kick you from the game when you join.

    As a fine alternative I would suggest going to 8.9.4.163:27015 (Teamplayguild.com CO) or 66.228.126.57:27015 (G4B2S.com Classic) as they are great servers and won't put you down if you are new.
