<div class="IPBDescription">Did you get this e-mail?</div>I sent this mail out to the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/ns/?action=community&subaction=mailing-lists" target="_blank">mapping mailing list</a>. We had problems with the mailer again but they have since been fixed. Did anyone else here get this message?
We're focusing on a mapping release first, which I hope you guys are pumped by. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Hey everyone,
This is just a quick note to talk about a few things:
1. We've made some changes to our mailing list configuration and I wanted to make sure it still works. This has been quite a bit of work but once it's rocking it's going to help out a LOT. Information about mapping and submissions been a bit hard to come by in the past and I think this mailing list will really help.
2. Because this is the mapping list, I feel obligated to give you a little mapping info, not just bombard you with test messages. So...if you were around for NS pre 1.0 days, you might remember something called the "NSTR". This was the Natural Selection Technology Release and it included a ns.wad, basic commander mode, our particle system, and our mapping guidelines. We released this to the public mapping community so you could get started making NS maps as early as possible, and so we could have some great maps to ship with the game when it was ready. The first order of business for the next NS game will be to release something similar so you guys can get busy.
3. Finally, in case you didn't get the e-mail about the testing the new site, here's the info:
<a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/ns" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/ns</a>
It will then ask you for a login and password. Enter the following:
login: SiteTest
password: T4keTw0
Let's hope this message gets out to you!

Got the email the 10/07/2006 at 6:20AM (GMT+1)
P.S. Very apt that the mapping mailing list has a screenshot from Powerhouse (aah Nexus, you will be mizzed!)
Can't wait. Didn't get the email (thought I was on the list, but wasn't)
Cant wait for that release!
So tired of asking for more information ...
WOO!!! nstr 2! can't wait.. wow, how long ago was that? i remember playing and going way overboard with the particle systems back then, and the cheezy welder model

NSTR2 was released a few years ago. This'd be NSSTR1.
How does one go about joining this mapping mailing list? I'd like to keep abreast of the latest developments in the world of mapping. Might get my ###### around to making a map. -.-
