<div class="IPBDescription">Vote your choice</div>SUPER EDIT:
Theslan has returned and it is now a vote off to host TWG VIII between him and im_lost. Theslan's game description IS UP. Please <b>BOLD</b> your vote for the new host.

<b><u>im_lost</b></u>
18 players

3 werewolves
3 mafia (works the same as wolves, just as a different "team")
1 psychopath

if a single player is targeted by more than one person for death, that
person dies, nothing special happens

humans (11)

* 1 vigilante: pick someone to kill at night, can choose not to
* 1 seer: checks for wolves
* 1 angel: checks for mafia
* 1 detective: checks for psychopath
* 3 masons: the masons know that each other are humans
* 1 psychic: at the beginning of each night, gets the number of
werewolves + mafia (this number does NOT include the psychopath)
* 1 guardian: protects a player from any killer, even from multiple
killers; the person saved is not revealed to anyone
* 1 martyr: the martyr can pick a person, and if that person would
normally die during the night, the martyr dies instead; if the martyr
picks someone that is targeted for death, the guardian can prevent the
death by protecting the targeted person OR the martyr
* 1 forensic specialist: checks one DEAD person per night, and finds
out exactly what role that person had

-------------------------------------------

<b><u>Theslan</b></u>

TWG game rules:
Players: 18. (with up to 2 backup slots)
Wolves 3 + 1 conversion.
All three roles: seer, psychic, and guardian.

TECHNICAL RULES:
Conversion: This will be done during night 1. The
wolves are allowed to choose one player that will be
working for their cause. In all sense, that player
becomes a wolf.

NOTE: Night one is extra long since the conversion has
to take effect. Night one will be done in two phases,
and they are:
--- PHASE ONE ---
Wolves decide on who to convert.
One player gets converted, and then special roles are
passed out (to prevent converting a special role).
--- PHASE TWO ---
This is normal: all roles report what they're doing,
and wolves report who they're going to wolf.

SEER: This is be as normal.

PSYCHIC: This role is also normal.

GUARDIAN: This role is also normal.

Originally I wanted to add flexibility so that the
guardian could protect more people, but have a less
effective chance of succeeding. For instance, if
guardian blocks 1 player, he succeed 100%, if he
blocks 2 players, he succeed 50% (50% chance of
successfully blocking per player). Well, it isn't
going in this game, so freak83 could leave this part
out.

Some minor rules:
- all participating players must choose a race (alien
or marine) and a role (shotgun heavy or fade).
- all participating players in backup slots must
choose a marine role (jetpack gernade launcher).

-----------------------------------------

<b>Reminder:</b>
- There was a change to the standard way the Guardian works before the forums went down. If a player is protected we will not find out WHO didn't die, it will just be known that some random person was protected from being wolfed that night.

    Yay, I win by default.

For those of you that think this game idea seems insane, I would like to point out the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/forums/index.php?s=1928340073163217920&showtopic=95041&view=findpost&p=1517993" target="_blank">original game idea</a>. I decided I should make it a little simpler, partly because a reduction in player count seems important.

Haha, I couldn't log into this site because I didn't know the password. Anyway, have fun. I'll do next time, or something.

Theslan messaged me 40 minutes after 9:00. Talking to him about it on IRC now, may put him back into the vote with im_lost and have a voting thing.

EDIT: Yes, we're having a vote off. I'll edit the first post with Theslans game idea shortly.

I'm going to vote for <b>im_lost</b>. I want to see how the "extended version" will play out.

    Edit: Rarg.

    Silly Mantrid, you forgot to bold your vote! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

On a side note, I'm going to vote for <b>im_lost</b>'s game, since not only will everyone have a special role to play around with, at up to four deaths per day/night, the game will sure to go by fast!

...Wait, is that a good thing or a bad thing?

    ...Oh well. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I'm voting for <b>Theslan</b>. im lost's game sounds too chaotic to work properly, and I've always liked the conversion idea.

I'm voting for <b>Theslan</b>, it's been too long and I'd rather play a simple 2 team game to get things kicked back off then complicate things with multiple teams. While there's nothing wrong with multiple team games, if the players aren't more on top of their game it will just be really mechanical because everyone is too confused to intellectualize the game. I say keep it simple until everyone's back into the full groove of things. I have to reread the rules as it is because I've forgotten a fair bit...

    [edit] spelling.

I'm voting for <b>Theslan</b>. As I said in the TWG Revived thread I think a more standardized game would be better to have since the forums have been down for over a year.

    Current Votes:

Theslan (4): (Nurot, Isamil, Swiftspear, Freak83)
    im_lost (2): (Mantrid, EMP_Demon)

Bolding your vote isn't vital for host elections, just gameplay (but it helps anyway).

Although I'd like to play a "Werwolves vs. Mafia vs. Pyschopath vs. humans" game, I really like the story idea of <b>Theslan</b>'s so I'll vote for him. And if it weren't for the forums going down, it should have been his game as well. Also two reasons why I believe im lost's game might be a little too complicated right now: 1. We haven't played for nearly a year, so we need to refreshen up on a new simple game. 2. There seems to be a few new players who are interested in joining this round, so it'd be a little tough for them.

Next game host, I'd probably vote for you im lost, we really need to try out that game style sometime later, but not yet.

The votes are 5 to 2 for Theslan, and I agree that a simpler game would probably be a good way to restart things, so I think the voting can end now. Theslan, have fun hosting TWG 8.

Theslan, you should get in the channel and auth so I can make you an op in preparation for the game.

In case people come here looking for the game signups, they are at <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/forums/index.php?s=7871038901696999424&showtopic=98024" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com:90/forums/ind...showtopic=98024</a> (bumping rather than editing my previous post to make sure people notice).
