Including a gender option for Marines

Okay, I know alot of people will start flaming again and are not able to hold their teenish comments about this thread like "Lool booobs"...and stuff but I don't care.

This idea was picked up with a lot of positive feedbacks and suggestions back in the days where the forums where online constantly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />.
I don't know who said it but it was propably NemesisZero who said
"We're not certain if we will include it in the next version and the version after, but might be a nice idea for other future versions"

Maybe he meant source. And I think this might be possible to assemble.
About the voice recording? Well I think, there are some girls in this community (like princess <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />) who'd like to lend their voice for that =)

    As long as they actually have a similar armour design as the original male marines, it's cool. (plus you get bragging rights of owning other men if you're a female, toot).

    H2o what do you mean by "it doesn't" ?? As far as I know it was always random and you don't have any opportunity to choose it somewhere oO

    I'm reasonably sure that it does randomize your skin color...however, it only chooses from 2 random options, which don't really look all that different. Its like white vs white with a darker tan, or something like that. Plus most of the marine model is covered by armor which doesn't change, you can only really see the difference by looking at the marine's chin, so its easy to miss.

    Edit: Here's a link to Cory Strader's actual <a href="http://www.corystrader.com/Gallery/3d/ns/3d_nsmarine.asp" target="_blank">3D Marine Texture</a>, showing 2 different models with different skin color. But as I said above, the 2 models aren't very different.

    I see only one thing as a Problem... everyone will run around in a Female Model, trying to distract the Enemy's Males...
    Obviously it distracts the own Team, too lol.

    Someone made a Kickass Female Model in just a Stringbikini... OMG that was hawt. But impossible to include even on Source. Maybe in U3, but not Source.

    I'd like a template System where you can mix and match different things to your ingame Avatar/Modell.
    Like selecting between different types of customized armor, available based upon a playerrank you could have in an Unanounced System or something you can have a) fresh out of the Line b) small delts and scars c) refurbished d) heavy battledamage and "field repaired" - ok, it's stupid with all the nanite stuff around, but I would like it.     Yes, Sheena modeled that gal right down to the nipples... an incredible number of poly's resulting in an INCREDIBLE model. With the skin it was given it was outright GORGEOUS!


    But, alas, even the Crysis engine wouldn't be able to run it XD
