<div class="IPBDescription">Kharra lifeform can sacrifice itself to the hive to heal it</div>A hive upgrade can be made where skulks or w/e can sacrifice all their health and armor towards the hive... if a higher lifeform sacrificed itself the hive would heal a lot more.

For balancing issues, this would be a last-ditch effort to keep the hive alive in a time urgency. But because it eliminates a player there will be less players to defend the hive if it is under constant attack.

That's not a useful ability if you think about it.

If you stay and fight instead of sacrificing your health to the hive, you'll be shot at *instead* of the hive, so it has the same damage-obsorbing effect. But because you're alive, you have a chance of hurting the marines while you obsorb damage.

Well...I dunno. If this ability could be executed no matter the location of the khaara then it could prove useful in some situations. Say, the aliens have no MC's for whatever reason, and a hive is under attack. They also have an Oni on a map which is a bit of a pain to navigate and this Oni happens to be located on the other side of the map.

Sure, the Oni could always try and go for the marine base, but if he or she is also far away from that then the last resort could be to give up it's life and armor if that means buying a few more seconds for any present defenders.

Alternatively, you could make it so that the hive recieves 2x the amount or something like that - just a matter of tweaking this skill. Anything below 200HP/armor for a hive isn't exactly that much after all, which would mean that the only real gains that such a skill would provide the hive is from fades/oni. Well, Oni mainly anyway - fades will probably just blink to the hive instead to defend it if possible.
