<div class="IPBDescription">example, today...</div> I was playing today (as aliens, previous game won as marine on diff. server), and it was right at the start. So I start scouting around and I kill about 2 guys in a row (easy, from behind, hehe) and then I find an unbuilt turret factory next to a marine resource node. It dies. So does the node.

Next thing I know, I'm in the Generator room hive, and there are turrets + factory! But theres a weak point, so I kill the factory. Marines start flooding in (I'm still the basic alien, BTW) and me and a lerk friend manage to kill them. He eventually dies, and it leaves me with 7 health. I kill 2 more marines without being hit. They had shotty/small machine gun...

So I morph to gorge, under the floor, to make defenses, and while I'm in egg, marines flood the room, about 5 of them. So I morph back to skulk and rush out, taking 3 of them out! And 2 teammates rush in from the other side and kill the rest... thats like 8, 9 marines without dying... no, the skulk is not overpowered, these guys just couldnt hit a moving target <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> They had shotties and everything but its hard at close range to kill 3 skulks. They had PLENTY of chance to kill some people long range but oh well... Once the defensive stuff is built, we start defending the heck out of our new hive room (while the sewers get built too by other teammates).

We're in constant voice communication! The teamwork is great ... people come help teammates, help arrives when requested, umbra is used at request, etc etc...

Eventually we head out to find more turrets, but the factory is gone for some reason! Perhaps their commander recycled it! He also put all turrets on one side of all the other factories makeing them easy to kill.

So you can guess we get all 3 hives, and I start repeatedly xenociding their spawn and...

***Suddenly the marines all start to whine that the aliens are way too strong and unbalanced and should be nerfed...***

What the hell? We work like crazy in a team with constant voice chat and decimate a team who's commander is recycling their own buildings, building factories without getting people to make them... and suddenly the aliens need a nerf?

Sigh.

All I'm saying is to the dev team, think twice before listening to too many nerf posts, especially ones that start out "I've just come from a game with xxxxx and lost and......" ;p

BTW to those on my team in that game.. GG. I've owned as marine on the same map, too...

    it's just a fact that for everytime someone feels bad about losing to the other team, they run, blame something else other than themselves (u know... something like imbalance) and how one or two bad experiences they had definitely warrants a nerf.

    if i came here to complain everytime about grenade launcher spam exploding less than a second before the 'clink' sound, siege turret cheese attacks, skulk rush that wasn't properly defended (and lost due to it), umbra not working due to lag (ever round a corner as a lerk, see a marine, put up umbra, then die in less than a second to an HMG, with full carapace/adrenaline and you right smack in the middle of umbra) **obscenity**, skulks apparently taking out turret factories defended by turrets on each side (any ping over 200 would stop any skulk... even with celerity and carapace, to kill a turret in one rush w/o running back for heals... if the turrets were placed on the right spot) ... hundreds of things like this... they'd need a seperate board for my whines and cheeses.

    the fact is, that this game is fairly new... not every attack is counter-balanced with another (though, for something that's out this old... this is incredibly balanced... ), and the lag is horrible on some maps with 14-18 players...

    don't feel too bad. it sux feeling hopeless and it may seem like this game is the most unfair game whenever you finally have enough resources for that special upgrade you wanted, when the other team just totally cuts through it like butter... but stick through it. like i said, most attacks have a counter attack... people just need to learn how to execute them as a group properly.

    Or how bout this, me and a Fade partner were ripping it up, REALLY causing destruction, like 10-15 Marines and a bunch of Turrets, when a hail of grenades took out my partner (guess he didn't see em.) Almost immediately he starts saying Marines are way too strong, they should be made weaker GL's are unbalanced. This is after 1.01 too and took me completely by suprise. Just because a weapon is strong doesn't mean its umbalanced, the GL has a pretty hefty cost. Some people just can't stop the complaining.

    Its so much esier to blame loosing on ballance in NS when the teams have such different styles of play. Some people seem to think that if a game is ballanced, that means each team are evenly matched no matter how good or bad each team is. Like the game is supposed to magicly nerf your aim if it notices your aim is too good or give less RP to the winning team... seriosly, ive heard players say this.

    Either they get with it or get the heck out....

    yea, it's VERY balanced, sure you don't win everygame but MOST i have..and as both teams.

    personally i got 25/4 as a skulk...so they rule <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo-->
