Hehe, these forums already heading down the facist line!
I bring your attention to "<!--coloro:#FFFF00--><span style="color:#FFFF00"><!--/coloro-->Response(s) to previously removed content removed.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->" that i'm seeing every line <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Joking aside, I'd probably go for a facist state. I'd much rather have strict codes in place to prevent crime and keep things in check in order to advance civilisation,than a world full of backward scumbags, where you cant walk anywhere without fear of death or rape and pillaging.
But clearly I'd opt for the Utopian way of things if there were an option.
I maintain my previously established choice of anarchy (or essentially family-states). Although I'd most likely have to be the scientific core of my family because of my exciting visual handicap (glasses are probably not one of the main exported products of an anarchial society).
I am kind of wondering who is going to watch all these cameras and microphones in every home. You'd effectively need half of the population watching the other half of the population round the clock (and then the other half watching the other half when the other half gets off shift (continue using "the other half" until confused)). Doesn't really seems plausible to me. Microphones could make some sort of sense, I suppose, since voice and word recognition is fairly competent now, but a computer is not going to easily discern code words or discover secret rebel plots if they're not spoken, but the computer intelligence required to monitor billions of cameras would be unfathomable (sure, it might be smart enough to recognize when you leave your house, but what if you practice hand signs or writing with multiple people on different cameras, it'd be unlikely the computer could discern the importance if it was done on one camera, let alone between rooms or buildings).
Anyway, why didn't I get modded? My comment about free speech was related to the 'crazy delete post of 2005. I feel so left out /cry (or maybe my writing just has overarching, universal applications we could all learn from...
