As some of you know, I have set up a small cup system for the EU Competitive NS community.
Over summer many people tend to stop the gaming and use their time socialising, so because of this, the clan scene drops a level and loses a lot of activity. After a bit of thought, I came up with a way to keep the scene a bit more active again tournament wise! After a chat with beefi^^ we agreed to make the NS Night Cup!
Here is the main jyst: Once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, we will organise a small NS cup. This cup will be held over a few hours, the winning team winning only a small number of matches.
The idea came about as there are only a small number of clans going, so anything competitive would have to be small, but if their isn’t anything going competitive, the clan scene drops even more so! Sorry to all non EU clans but this is for us filthy euros only at the moment, we need a little boost of something to go for. The cup is only for fun for now, nothing overly serious, we’re not about to go and check each players Steam ID before a match and enforce official signups. We are not going to be strict on clans also, people may create a small team they wish to use only for the set cup and submit it to me. As time goes on we will possibly increase our levels of professionalism and the number of teams involved, maybe even running the cup over 2 nights?!?! We’ll just have to wait and see!
The 1st night of the cup will be on the 17th of this month with only 8 teams. All instructions are available on the website and forums:
