I d like to see more "official" maps.

I don't know about your server stats but here is what i see.

I see more and more the same mapcycle on tons of servers. 3~4 Maps : Eclipse, Tanith, Veil, Lost.

Less and less Nancy, Hera, Caged, Metal, Nothing, Origin.

Is the dev team working on it ?
Any map contest ?

People vote in easy to play maps, they want a straight forward frag fest, which is what veil, eclipse and tanith provide.

Caged is boring, wants to be renamed to ns_doubleresplz on many servers.

nancy... well in my opinion is terrible.

I see metal and origin played loads, they are nice maps.

Nothing.. what can I say, but elevators.

People like the older maps that they have come to learn and love. God forbid you not know every angle and corner.

in my opinion people prefer playing balanced maps like tanith and veil... and those maps like some1 said the "frag festiva|l maps with close batlle against aliens/mariens.

Chances are, people like maps that they first played. Like for example, the first map I ever played was ns_lost, and the clearest memory I have of that is being part of a heavy train and totally ANNIHILATING two hives nonstop. Everytime I walk through that part of the map, I feel nostalgia. And Eclipse is the first map I won as comm on.

Since it's likely people are going to play the most played maps first...well the cycle goes on and on yea?
