No it doesn't...

If the LMG is based off anything I would have said a sten or a german made FG42. This decision not based of DoD but rather that I'm not an idiot who assumes games are realistic.

Just because the magazine feed is of a different orientation does not mean it is modelled after any other type of firearm.

you showed the ability not be able to read right..he just said IF it is BASED on anything, than its the FG-42 rifle..and hes right... "based" , not copied..or modelled after...

there were 2 versions of the fg42, the ns lmg got definitly its roots in the fg42 G-type rifle. the lmg is modelled way shorter, in a way more modern industrial design wich gives the impression of some highly advanced futuristic technology. but still..letting away proportions, ammo size, operation, and even the materials used, showing a very close association to the basic design of the fg42... heck.. it even features the fg42 like scope..lol

Well nobody's expressed an interest in skinning this LMG since there already is a high-poly LMG out there so this thread is basically pointless. :|

*cusses monochromaticly*

Stop wasting threads with pathetic sarcasm and useless bickering, people.

Sheena's Asian, for crying out loud. Her vastly superior grasp of English does not bode well for many of you.

Now I want to leave again.

Try this for once: Help or get out.

It's a pain, I know, but it only takes twenty-one repetitions to start a habit. Then it comes as second nature and you don't have to put that oh-so-costly energy into making the decision to shut the hell up anymore.

God, how worthless do people have to be that the meager satisfaction attained from ruining someone else's effort seems a big enough deal that it becomes their entire focus in life?

Don't give up on the model. You've got your modelling skills down pretty well pat; now move on to UV mapping, then maybe skinning and you won't have to rely on these... People.

Just rework the grip a little. Basing it off those shots of the FG42 wouldn't be a bad idea.

And stop straight quoting posts with big pictures in them. At least edit out the images. It just makes sense.

I didn't know there was a shorter FG42. That's sweet.

Just to point out a thing said earlier in this thread.
High-poly LMG stands for Higher-poly than the default LMG.

Anything that uses more polygons than the default models are high-poly models.
There is no minimum-limit to whats high poly and whats not.
Its all individual, and who cares anyway, what matters is that it looks good, and I could bet my arse that others belive that prettyness can be achieved even with 1000 polygons as limit.
But I also bet that's been said before.
