Guardian & Seer
First of all, these are suggestions and as usual I want to get feedback before actually putting these changes into place.
Guardian
Taking one aspect of Petco's game, making it so that the name of whomever the Guardian successfully protect's is not revealed. Luckily we had direct experience with this in the last game, TWG VII. This goes hand in hand with what I often hear; the Guardian is either too weak or too powerful.
Keep in mind that the real use of the Guardian is to possibily detour the wolves from who they would like to actually kill.
This would be the only aspect of the Guardian from Petco's game going into an official standard game change.
Seer
This one I thought up myself as I personally think the Seer is a bit too powerful. It's not a huge change but I think it would offer some help to the wolves near the end. The idea is to make the Seer unable to look at anymore players a night IF he as already seen all but ONE wolf.
ex. He's seen 3 wolves in a 4 wolf game and can now no longer check any player.
He has seen 2 wolves in a 3 wolf game and can now no longer check any player.
This does not mean he loses his abilities if all but one wolf is dead. Only once he has actually seen all but one wolf.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So thoughts? Making neither change, one of the changes, or both of the changes? Or any other comments?

The seer change seems interesting, I'll have to think about it. It would certainly be worth trying at least, though I'm not sure if it should be an official change. It would be really bad if the seer started out by checking all but one wolf, without finding a human first. They couldn't create any network to share their findings with.
I don't really feel that the Seer change is very much helpful, for most of the same reasons that im lost said. Perhaps instead, disable his powers if the human:wolf ratio gets too low, perhaps? That, or only let it be enabled for so many days...
Three wolf game.
Night/Day 1: Seer finds human. Wolf lynched.
Night/Day 2: Seer finds wolf. Human lynched.
Night/Day 3: Seer can't seer. Seer figures out that a wolf was lynched in the last two nights.
This is a very condensed situation, but the same could happen spanning almost any number of days. The Seer will eventually learn if a wolf has been lynched or not.
However, I don't think the change is needed. If the wolves actually tried a fake seer, then the real seer would become less effective, both in that game and likely in future games. Also, adding a rule like this could make it quite difficult to be a fake seer, which would be a bad thing at this point.
I don't think we need to change anything. All of the standard games bar 1 were very close and could have gone either way. I think we may need to make a simple change, such as increasing the number of wolves by so that they are always 1/4 of the total players, then we would see wolf wins, but of course if we start seeing wolf wons, will people start complaining the wolves are overpowered? I think the standard game is good enough and pretty well balanced as it is.
