Guys my Ma just bought a laptop mac and she gave his old dell laptop to me!
Having it few days I have now Internet and almost all needed programs. Only problem is that This one doesnt have a sound card, which i still need suggestion?

    most generally it is impossible to add a soundcard to a laptop in the traditional way you would a PC. There are external usb sound cards that are quite nice though. I can't really suggest any as I have never used one.

    There are 2 good external sound cards that I know of, and I own one of them. Do you have a pcmcia expansion slot? If you do, go for the Audigy 2 ZS notebook [<a href='http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=204&product=10769' target='_blank'>link</a>].

    If not, buy the Audigy 2 NX that is an external card: [<a href='http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102167' target='_blank'>link</a>].



    The reason I suggest the audigy 2 ZS notebook is because it's compatible with BF2's hardware sound, while the NX is not. On a side note, you will need your own speakers/headphones/headset to use either of the cards - they WILL NOT channel sound out of your laptop's speakers.

    I really wish I had a laptop. I would give my spleen to be able to go online and listen to music on those snowy January days by the fire when you have a cup of tea, a blanket and your feet up. The last thing you want to do is go to your basement (in my case) to get on the computer. But alas, I am once again foiled by my limited monetary funds.
