This has somthing to do with NS.
What does this have to do with NS? Well ever since i installed NS. Every single one of my computers that i put NS on has this problem. It will try and load all 27k servers. Yes i got rid of the NS desktop icon, and yes i know how to use the filters. I know i am not the only person with this problem, since i tried to look for a solution on this forum.
Ive tried a few things so far. Tried delteing my favservers.dat, no dice. Tried re-installing the most recent Hl patch, no dice. ect ect.
Anyways, has anyone found a way to fix this, because its begining to get very annoying.

This happened to me before when I was heavily into the SvenCoop mod. Someone at the forum there claimed it was because WON.net was down, so there was no comprehensive database of all the servers and what game they were running, so HL defaulted to its own built-in game-finder which does not work with filters.
If WON.net comes back online, the problem will go away... but only until next time their bandwidth gets a bit too massive for the guys footing the bill.
Ironically, you're right in that NS is responsible for breaking the filters on all of your mods... but ONLY because more people are playing Half-Life.
Of course, this is all just hearsay. Anyone who knows what they're talking about want to reply to this thread? Please?
It also started the day I installed NS (nov 31st).
All Seeing Eye can be good, but I want my filters back!
del f:\Half-Life\favsvrs.dat
F:\half-life\hl.exe -console -32bpp...... etc
Deleting the favsvrs.dat usually does the trick.
Is it really needed? Why?
I don't know, maybe it messed our connection somehow.
I think it does have something to do with valves servers, you notice the little "getting servers" window that counts down time. Well, when that times out it goes to the backup servers, which don't work with filters... so you get all 27,000 or whatever it is HL servers, from all mods, everywhere in the world.
I don't think its a client side problem.
