Most grips are pretty boxy, with a slight curve at the back. Try looking at a M8 or M16 or christ, any other assault rifle. The grips aren't that fancy.
That concept is not crap, it enabled me to do a kick-**** model in just two days.
The last render you saw will most likely be the final version. No major changes are going to take place.

saving polies. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> First off, it's not even an uber high poly model, I can tell that by looking at it. Second off, the AT MOST ten extra polies wouldn't change the count significantly enough. Also, we look at the fact that it's a rectangle with two chamfers, so that means there's twelve polies on it (tris, not rectangles) well, if he really wanted to keep just a 12 poly handle, which is fine and dandy by me, all he really needs to do is make the chamfer more pronounced, so the back has the appearence of a curve. Don't spout crap like saving polies for that when it's just lazy. At least make the handle seem like you'd want to use it.
Honestly unless it's some **** like rails, or just mundane details, don't say anything about saving polies when it needs to be fixxed.
It doesn't look bad rapier, I'd just fix the handle.
And there's currently no visible sights. What might be neat is to make the grip a rudimentary scope arrangement, instead of being open. Or just make it like a G36 type of thing, with that fancy little 4x scope at the back.
