Ns Reinstall, May Be Wrong Version?

i reformatted my pc the other day and kept what files i wanted. as u may know know, i copied my steam apps folder into steam and the games worked just fine except some games wouldnt work with x-fire.
so i reinstalled the games but ns was appaerently the wrong version of installation.
i put in ns 3 5b in it and it said wrong client.dll when i tried to joina server. so i copied over my client.dll from the old hard drive saved files and it worked just fine after wards.
the one worry i have is, what other stuff is differe
nt from ns3 5b and one currently?
