<div class="IPBDescription">Because OT = Tech support, right?</div> My sister came to me today because of a problem she has with her computer. She has put chinese characters on her machine because she speaks and writes very fluent chinese. Her problem is that every time she recieves an email, a chinese character gets inserted in place of a space; making$an&email*kinda@hard$to#read. Do any of you know how I could fix the problem? I'm not familiar with changing window's character mappings.

Probably just the unicode settings. You'll either have to manually change the settings in each program to read it in an English encoding, or you can switch the system settings.

Control panel -> Regional & Language -> Advanced.

Then tinker with the Language for Non-Unicode drop-down list.
