Oh yeah. I have had like 5 of these. The funniest I can remember was this.

I had been cloaked and camping the marine spawn. As soon as a marine would run out I would parasite him. While waiting for more marines to leave I heard one call for a medpack. I ran around the corner and killed him with 1 parasite. That must have been embaressing.

PTs? how much damage does a parasite do?
• SpynesSpynes Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 4687Members
only 10 damage, and it takes alot of energy away.......its not an offensive weapon just a parasite locator

Based on the tooltips, parasites do 10 damage.

I just wish more Skulks would tag their prey before digging in!

It provides an easier way to stalk your prey, (and now your whole team), silently, and can also be used to see incoming enemies for builders and give them time to hide/counter them.

Plus it can be handy for turning a marine around to get to his back 1st. "The best meat is in the rump!"

I´m starting to like that as a strategy, instead of rushing and chewing up their base at start (which usually doesn´t work anymore), hide outside their base and parasite them all.

I just sat in ns_caged's vent at the marine spawn and parasited each and every one of them that used the armory before running off to be stalked and killed. I was there for TEN minutes.

I was killed only because I was laughing/crying so hard.

I **obscenity** off some HA one day doing this. I just kept shooting him with paracites. He kept trying to rush me, but as soon as I saw him come, I crawled up and hid. I did this for about 8 minutes until he finally left. From all the hits, I probably did 200+ damage.

Yes after a parasited marine dies the parasite goes away, personally i hate this since when the marines get the observatory and get that upgrade for it they see blips of all incomming aliens.

Aliens rely heavily on knowing where marines / turrets are and since the turrets stay parasited untill distroyed (which is very usefull) and the marines stay parasite untill they die (which sucks hard, because i would rather keep a parasite on a heavy with an hmg then a turret any day)

They should give it a timelimit like 3-5 mins and when this limit is hit you have to die to get rid of it (so campers cant just wait out the 3-5 mins camping behing turrets)

What be better is if the marines didn't know they've been Paracited. They don't know they're being stalked. >;)

even if they know they are parasited, they cant do anything coz an alien with a lvl 3 regeneration and cloak will pwn their arse anytime anyway anyplace

I doubt anyone would host for you if you actually consider that a 'funny pic.'

I like the whole "parasite the marines" etc idea, but it works both ways. Sure you know where I am, but I know I'm being stalked and hunted.

Lemme just bounce up ahead a little bit and bait for my team, with my heavy armor and their shotguns/hmgs...

I can't tell you how many aliens I've killed because they hunted me. Just because a marine is parasited does NOT make him prey.

Yes, so maybe the marines shouldn't get the "parasite detected" message so that they are easier prey. Then it would be more effective.

sorta off topic but kinda has to do with sneaky aliens, an alien had been clinging to the ceiling of a hive room we had been setting up, and for 5 min he sat there chuckling with our marines blasting everywhere, I walked in after helping comm set up the main base, listened, pointed my gun at the sound, listened again, and let the bullets fly righ into the skulks face. Thank god for 3D sound

off-topic...there was an alien who went up to the ceiling on eclipse in the triad area and gestated into a fade. It was a VERY good idea. No one could hit him and he just kept dropping bile bombs on the base we had there while we yelled over the voice-comms frantically.
