Ill tell you why there are no more modellers here. Theyve moved on to bigger and better. Honestly with all the new advanced engines out, theres absolutely no reason to bother with the Half Life engine anymore, Its just a waste of time. I really cant believe NS isnt on source yet, Forget about beating a dead horse.. This is beating the pulp thats left of what used to be a dead horse.
This is what I'd like to see, then: an up to date list of the best of the best in each category. The three best pistols, best buildings, etc.
Because I know this stuff is out there, but jesus it's hard to find. I just spent an hour scouring different sites and I've only found a fraction of what I know EXISTS.
From there people could reskin and reanimate the nice models, make consistent model packs, etc. Right now the community files are in shambles like everyone dropped what they were doing and jetted away!
I still play NS occasionally, as a lot of people do, and I'd like a nice selection of models, for now and for posterity.
I guess my hope now is that there are people here who know where all the sweet models are, because I sure can't find them :[
