Guys, can we keep it on topic? Whether or not this guy being a pot head had anything to do with it is a debate that will earn a quick lock, especially down this path.

My concerns go out to Cookie. I hope being related to a murderer doesn't create a negative stigma among your friends for you.

You're saying that my friends who do or have taken drugs should all be in jail, for no reason more than they're enjoying an aspect of life that you are not. They aren't criminals, hell they're not even annoying. They are some of the best, open minded and caring people I have ever met, not to mention damn intelligent. Not all of them, mind, but not all people who drink alcahol are pleasant when drunk. Some people aren't even pleasant when they're sober.

    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    yes yes i am.

and yes, they are breaking the law. so that does make them criminals. both in my book, and the law's unless your in holland. in which case, i still think your a cretin, but the law doesnt.

you cant have a discussion like this and not expect at least one or two very anti drug people to come along.... thats how the world works. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
This'll be my last off-topic post in this thread. If anyone would like to continue these talk, give me a PM and I'll start a thread in discussions.

Moquiao, my question to you is: <b>Why</b> are you so anti-drug? I'd like to know why you're against the occasional joint taken by someone who is mature, responsible, intelligent and knows that he doesn't <i>need</i> it but likes it because it gives him a good feeling.

Also, it's bad form to ignore something that someone has put in front of you during a debate. ("Coffee, soda, painkillers, etc... are drugs.") You can't say 'That's different' to that, because those drugs are not any different. They all effect the brain. Which reminds me, isn't morphine and codeine refined from opium?

They're legal drugs, its as simple as that. I would also suggest soda has slightly less effect than pot. Not that I'd know. I don't want to break the law. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> I don't like the idea of consequences for being caught.

I think it's pretty ridiculous. Things like Tylenol can cause serious liver damage, and pot isn't even permanently or seriously harmful and it's illegal. There are other ways of getting THC in to your system, other than smoking it. You can even put it in food. Anyone want some toast buttered with pot butter? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If you took a dose of caffeine that's comparable to a dose of marijuana, you would definitely notice the effects. Though the effects are not the same as pot. Pot USUALLY relaxes you, and caffeine picks you up.

sorry for the OT again, but i feel if another thread were to be started it wouldnt have the same 'impact'

    my reasons?

im adopted. my real father raped my mother whilst high. he threw me, a 6 month old baby down stairs like a bowling ball whilst high.

he beat me. a 6 month old baby. till i was close to dead. as a baby. and guess what he was high.

i have no respect for people who take drugs based on this, of course you can say ' thats one bad person having bad affects.

but any substance bad enough to make you throw a 6 month old down stairs. should be banned. and never taken. and if your opinion varies thats fine. but just dont expect me to ever change mine.

i was quite content to state my views, i wasnt going to interject this, as its not a boo hoo pity me for being an abused baby thread lol

but yeah, those are my reasons for thinking anyone who touches drugs is bad news. its my choice, based on my life experiences.

and i would be interested in hearing if you have any 'response' to this in pm cforrester or anyone, cos imo, you cannot justify it. not even with the 'one bad egg doesnt make them all bad' cos that doesnt wash.

even if i had no reason atall..

    i would like to know

    what is the point

like i said, etc get things to do natural high's...

go freefalling. skydviing lessons, scuba diving get a thrill no doubt. but why give yourself an alternate reality, hallucinate? why? is your life THAT bad? if so, really, should you be coming on here posting how drugs arent bad. if they arent bad. then how come your life sucks so much you feel the need to turn to these, as a 'pick me up'

i know that sounds like random mess, but its 3 am, so kinda knackered.

    my underlying point is.

there is NEVER a GOOD and VALID reason to take drugs. of any kind. and no before you cretins interject, i dont mean medicines, i personally dont take pills or any pill form drug. i dont like it, my body wont let me swallow a tablet. maybe some deep psychological thing to do with above but still. medicines are fine. caffiene while a drug, is still a part of day to day life. as is alcahol.

im talking Weed and up. please dont split hairs when you know perfectly well what subestances i am on about.

once again, i DO apologise for taking this OT, but we have got a good discussion going on here, so if anything move the thread to discussion.. cos this is eye opening.
