Hearing Other People Speak, Problems.

Just installed NS after taking a 1 year long break, and i noticed a problem that is quite disturbing

Whenever someone tries to speak using the ingame function, the sound keeps getting interrupted.

What i mean is, its like playing a choppy CD disc, it just goes on and off

All the ingame sounds are fine, its just when someone tries to speak that i get this problem.. any ideas?

    Check to see if you can turn down the bitrate for voice. Also, make sure you're running latest directx. The latest directx handles multiple voices (read: sounds) a lot better.
