    So... you've made the marine HUD transparent, which is okay, but not especially inventive. I could have done that with even my limited photoshop skills. The hive info sprite is a little bit better. It gives you a better feel for the information, but really, the aliens aren't supposed to have lots of detailed information. The aliens are supposed to be a group that's played more by feel than by numbers. That's why the original hive info sprite is sometimes hard to read. You're only supposed to know the hive health in general.

    I applaud you for getting out there and trying, which is more than most people do, and I respect you for creating something that isn't useless, which is a common mistake. This time around, though, you haven't created anything I want to use.     dont be supprised if this gets locked, last time someone made a transparent commander / marine hud, it got locked because it is considered an exploit.

    Who really cares if Snappy wants to use it?

    No one said NS customization had to be "inventive"... just customized. These are simple and yet good mods.

    I really don't see what the problem is with a transprant comm chair\hud... its not really like it gives a huge advantage just because you see slightly more of the screen. Honestly i find the default comm chair hud to be clunky and doesn't allow you to see much of the screen. I take playability over looks in this situation.

    Also just getting rid of the marine hud top part really doesn't do much at all...

    but its an exploit there it will kill the game due to the "cheaters" being able to see nothing important, easier.

    Well, I care if Snappy wants to use it. Mostly 'cause I'm Snappy.

    I don't expect anyone else to care if I want it. Oma asked for feedback. I specifically checked to make sure Oma asked for feedback before I gave some. I didn't say they weren't good sprites, I just said I didn't like them, and I said why.


    I should have also mentioned that I prefer a transparent marine/comm hud. I don't agree with the people who consider it an exploit.

    Just a tip for a MUCH improved comm interface over the default one... download the knifegaming pack from nsarmslab and install the reduced comm chair screen that comes with that, then download the CaptainPanaka clearcomm chair hud and use the logout.spr from that. Now you have a pretty much transparent comm chair. Dunno why the knifegaming one has a crappy logout button but panaka's looks great.

    nah, its a great hud just the logout button looks out of place with the rest of it IMO.
