NC LAN's

in LAN parties
<div class="IPBDescription">og og og</div> Anyone from the North Carolina Triangle and/or Piedmont area planning on setting up some LANy NS goodness? I am just outside Raleigh, and I know all you guys at Duke, NC State, UNC(s), and the million other schools out here run servers and such. Clue me in! I'll be happy to show up and bring NS door prizes like Natural Selection t-shirts, ball caps, mouse pads, etc. Plus I'm sure we could hook some some sponsorships, as the NS team has a lot of friendly relationships with 'The Man'. I can also provide extra dedicated NS servers (usually in the 1Ghz, 512MB RAM range), perfect for 5 on 5 and 6 on 6 games. Hell, if it were big enough you'd also get other members of the NS team to show most likely - Relic lives down here too you know.

Come on you Wolf Packs, Tarheels, and Blue Devils. Get it going! We need a 'Rebel Onos LAN I' !!!

    I'm based in FLorence, SC, about three hours south, but for the chance to play some of the NS team, I'd drive up there. C'mon you deadbeat college students, have a LAN!!!

    I'm in North Raleigh and would definately be interested. Lanning (NS/CS) with three other people right now, I'm forum whoring while they're in a CS scrim.     I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area and with my job, I usually travel across the state (some weeks more than others). I'd DEFINATLY be all about having a NS LAN party. I'm not clued no the logistics on the how/where/what for setting up a LAN, but I'd be more than happy to participate and even chip in a little to help pay for any rental space that might be needed. Just let me know via e-mail or personal message and I'd be happy to attend!

Sco_Nutz to my friends and I am part of a old clan called [MGA]. We LOVE to Lan at least 1 (hopefully 2) times a year. Once in the summer, and once in the winter. Right now we have really stayed small with around 20-30 players max and have been playing in Kernersville (near Winston-Salem) off in I40. We are trying to increase our max players and build up to tournament level (80+ people. 16 5-man teams). Primarily we are 20-24 year old CS only gamers (no unreal) that have been playing since beta 4 CS. We have an aged server that we are looking to repair/replace very soon (over the christmas break) which you can find and play on at www.mgaclan.com:27015 playing awp and deagle maps. We are trying to get interested people to speak up and give us the momentum we need to really build up a true lan with cash prizes and sponsors but we find problems with best location and space/power to support our plans. If anyone has any ideas, comments, and/or suggestions, please send them my way @ sco-nutz@triad.rr.com and we can chat. We want to really get things going by spring/summer 2003 at the latest.

    Just added myself to the list (with my real name). I'd love to see a LAN happen and I know that there's someone at NCSU running a server on their network (-NCSU- Porcha or something like that). I wish I could find his server and ask him if he and his group would be interested.

    There are two groups that play alot of ns at NC state. Between them they comprise about 10 people, whom Im sure would all come, and of whom only like 2 have signed up. SO you have a few more people than are on the list.
    BTW, how many would you need to sign up for something to actually happen?
