Making My Own Avatar

I have seen quite afew people using avatars that they have put in themselves and was wondering how to do it, I went into My Controls and edit avatar but could only choose from the ones available.

    you will need a program like paint shop pro of photoshop or just do it on piant but that would suck!

    well, you'll need a picture with a resolution of 64x64, and its best to have a program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to resize it anyway, or else it looks crap. You can download a 30-day trial of Paint Shop Pro at <a href='http://www.jascsoftware.com' target='_blank'>Jasc Software</a>. Although Photoshop is the more popular/powerful program, I find PSP's interface to be more intuitive and easier to learn.

    And check out the Artwork forum. That's the place to ask for sigs and such made by others. (There is a post designed specifically for it. Look for it.)
