Spyware/adware/malware Question

<div class="IPBDescription">sload.exe</div> I've been getting a few IE popups (when not using that browser) lately, and ad-aware couldn't pick anything up. In the processes list I see something that's not normally there, sload.exe, which is in the WINNT folder. Googling for it in association with spyware, malware, or exploits gets me no useful results.

I have one profile where for some reason IE stopped working a few months ago, and on that profile I get an error box telling me sload can't do something, suggesting to me that if IE worked I'd be getting popups there too.

Any idea what's happening?

Try hitmanpro from <a href='http://www.hitmanpro.nl' target='_blank'>www.hitmanpro.nl</a> (yes its dutch)

    and you can try <a href='http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html' target='_blank'>Spybot S&D</a> and <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx' target='_blank'>Windows Antispyware Beta</a>

Especially the windows antispyware program is very good, shielding function and autoupdate makes it very good at it's jobm

as for the process sload.exe, its seems to be a part of Lotus Notes.

    <a href='http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sload.exe+process&btnG=Google+Search' target='_blank'>Google search</a>
