in New Player Forum
<div class="IPBDescription">on installing ns</div> if i try to install ns it says:
"No valid steam or hl(won) install found. Continue?"
but i installed steam already.
can anybody help me please?

    After you install steam you must install a valid Half Life key (It can't be HL²). It is merely asking you to do that before you install NS because NS is build off of HL, and will not have many required components unless it is installed.

    Yes, since NS is an HL mod, you need HL to pay, NS is only free for people who own the game, sorry <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    That being said I picked up my copy in a local game store for 10 dollars, and NS is well worth it. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
