Kotor Troubles

So I had some cash burning my pocket, I buy KOTOR. Im hopelessly addicted at this point, but my computer is losing it. I just got my lightsabre, but when I play for more than 10 minutes my monitor clicks off, then back on. All thats there is the mouse cursor. Or, it goes to a big scrambled graphic and the whole thing won't respond. All the specs are reccomended and my drivers are up to date. This is the only game that does this, HL2, Doom 3, all that runs fine. Somebody help, this game is far too awesome to have this happen!

I've never heard of that problem before, but KOTOR does have a lot of major issues that you need to patch.

List the specs

Are you using an ati or nvidia gfx card?

Well it didnt fix a damned thing. I got a 9600. Whats that command that shows your comps specs?

I forget the name of that planet youre on, but yea its bugged as all crap. I got maybe 5 FPS out there in the plains. Rest of the game was perfectly fine.

Did you own a NV card before hand on the same hard drive?

Me neither. I don't know much about computers, I gave the tech weenies at work 1000 bucks to build me somethin special. It's badass far as I can tell.

go to the kotor forums and search around there. see if anyone else has the same problems, and what they did to fix it.
