Vote your choice
Mantrid
Slots: 18
Wolves: 4
Comments: Seer, Psychic, Lovers.
There are two Lovers. If one of them dies, the other dies immediatly
from sadness. Lovers are randomly picked, so it is possible that a
wolf and a civilian may be lovers.
Isamil
Number of slots: 18
Number of wolves: 4
Comments:If the seer seers a wolf, the wolves will be told which one
of them was seered. This will allow the wolves to prepare for an
attack, and help find the seer.

Number of slots: 23
Number of wolves: 3

Alright, time for something different. Guardian's out. Seer and
psychic remain as their normal roles. In the guardian's place, I want
to insert one player as the "psychopath" or whatever the 'official'
term is. This person's job: to kill everyone else and be the last man
standing. How it works: every night, both the wolves and the
"psychopath" will pm me the people they want to kill. If they are
different, good for them, both targets are killed, move onto the next
day. However, if they try to kill the same person, the killing is
botched and one of the wolves or the psychopath is randomly killed as
well as the original target. The humans won't know which player was
killed which way.
To make things even more interesting, the psychic won't know which
player was killed by which role, so if he gets a pm saying that one
wolf was killed, he won't know which one was the wolf. Also, he'll be
told at the beginning of the game that there are "3 wolves remaining",
so he won't know when the psychopath has died, at least right away. Of
course, that should be pretty easy to tell anyway, given that if the
psychopath dies, the number of killings each night drops to one. This
might put some tension on a psychic-seer alliance if the psychic
doesn't see the number of wolves drop after a seer leads a vote
against a confirmed wolf.
If the seer seers the psychopath, he'll be told that he is a wolf.
Adds another layer of confusion that I like.
Humans win if they kill all the wolves AND the psychopath. Wolves win
if they outnumber the humans, AND the psychopath has been killed (he's
a danger to everyone, including the wolves). Psychopath wins if he
goes into the final night alone with a human, because he'll obviously
kill that last human and win. If a psychopath and a wolf go into the
last night together, then the game will be decided by coin flip.

I was going to apply myself but I decided I'm going to be much too busy this next while to host another game.
I'd like something a little different to happen this time around. During pre-game, all players should have authenticated IRC accounts. I would like all the game players to have Peon status so this time the channel can remain unlocked and open for spectators.

I'll be joining next game, of course.
Edit: When does the day end?
It'd make for some interesting strategies as people joined up with others to grant themselves some limited immunity and/or prove their humanity. Obviously the guardian role should still exist in this situation as it is far more effecient to kill 2 instead of one, however if you are joined with a wolf then that means you can't be killed just as the wolf can't be voted off. Also people that pair up with the guardian can't be guarded either.
Hmm...
i'm going to vote Sky too, not because I'm amazingly keen on the pyschopath idea as I'm not sure I like it at all. However it has more slots which means that I might play without pushing a regular out (if I decide to play that is, not sure if I have the time to commit to it, I think I can manage but I'm getting guild wars soon. Forum posting wouldn't be a problem though).
[Edit] No, actually I'm going to vote for Isamil because I like guardians, I don't think it matters if they save someone, the point is it makes wolfing someone that bit more complex, after all as soon as a role becomes obvious they are going to be eaten aren't they.
Mantrid's sounds too wolf-biased: Not only can the wolves kill whoever they want without any fear of the guardian; but the humans will most probably lose two players for the price of one at some point in the game. Since the humans far outnumber the wolves, chances are that the lovers will both be humans.
Sky's is just too big on wholesale killing. I'm most likely to be a human, once again, and it sounds like being a human will really really suck.
So I'm not even sure whether I'll be playing this round or not, but if I do, it's only if Isamil is hosting.
Isamil - 2 (CMEast, lolfighter)
Sky - 3 (Pithlit, brute force, im lost)
Isamil - 2 (CMEast, lolfighter)
Sky - 5 (Pithlit, brute force, im lost, Petco, TheMuffinMan)
I-I-I-INSTALYNCH
I can't vote vote Isamil, because I don't think that one extra piece of information will be enough to balance the sides.
Mantrid's idea removes the guardian and adds a small gimmick which may or may not play a part in the game at all.
Sky is effectively introducing the Vigilante character described on the Mafia website. I really have no clue what effect that will have on the game, or which way the scales will tip, but I think we can guarantee that it'll be interesting...
Sky
This is purely based from memory but I believe the Vigilante actually kills a player of their choice only once at any point during any day, which in turn suddenly ends the day.
Also sky's idea seems to make humans have a tough chance of winning, it'll be interesting.
Seems like a pretty good idea, sky.
Isamil - 3 (CMEast, lolfighter, Pulse)
Sky - 8 (Pithlit, brute force, im lost, Petco, TheMuffinMan, Omegaman!, Xentor, Fatal Error)
I figured Quaunaut's was pretty obvious even if it wasn't bolded. Still can't decide whether I should play or not but either way I'll be reading the thread. What do you guys reckon?
It looks as if Sky is going to win this. I'll be back from work in a few hours, if there's no big change in the outcome by then Sky will be the next TWG host.
<+[sA]Freak83> or is he just hiding?
<Isamil> I ate him
Damn, this is some strong stuff.
