Creating An Installer

<div class="IPBDescription">..</div> Hello.

I'm in need of some installer-wizard that can help me to create an installer for a thing I'm working on.

I pretty much have three requirements.

a) Free
b) Can install to a location specified via the registry (think C:\Blahblah\Steam\email\) since it's for a HL game.
c) I can have options on what to install and whatnot

I've been googling around and this is driving me crazy. What installer did the NS-team use to create the NS installation?

    If I recall correctly, they used the InstallShield one (<a href='http://www.installshield.com' target='_blank'>http://www.installshield.com</a>). The only problem is the price!

    <a href='http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php' target='_blank'>Inno</a> is pretty good - I've created several installers that grab the location from the registry - plus if you need to do anything really funky you can use the inbuilt pascal scripting and code it in.

    $450 dollars for a program that acts makes WinRAR/WinZIP-like executables with a couple UI changes and a few registry edits? Wow. Why would anyone pay that much for such a simple application?

    Because its really, really, REALLY simple to use, and it produces optimized installers that use a UI which has become the industry standard (and thus intuitive for even non-pro users)?
