Late Night Musings.

Out of pure boredom and insomnia I've come up with late night musings.
Basically I know there are people here who like me are up late with nothing to do and looking for entertainment. Start posting your late night thoughts of the moment. I hope this doesn't turn out to be spam. Just try to post something that strikes you in this moment of insomnia. There shouldn't be any posts outside of 12:00 A.M. - 5:00 A.M. accouting for the different time zones, so we here in the states can read all you crazy other-side of the world people's musings during the day, yay for us. It doesn't have to be an observation, it can be just a thought you have on your mind as well. Also post your location and your local time of posting, just to make this a little more interesting.

Rapid City, South Dakota, United States 12:43 AM:
Out of paranoia I keep checking over my shoulder to look out my window, but hey I've actually seen the same car parked with the lights on twice, gone for a while between.

I'm so used to staying up this late that I am as lucid now as I was at 4 in the afternoon. Even when I stay up later than normal, I never ever have abnormal thoughts. Nosiree.

    Somewhere in Washington state...

I can see the lights of the compound up ahead. They've got a mechanic on the comm-array right now trying to fix the antenna, but he keeps dropping his tools onto the roof. The perimeter sentries are on their last patrols before changing guard 16-make that 15 minutes from now. I've got eyes on the communications bunker. My snipers are in position, and I've got confirmation that the generators will go down on my signal. All I need now is confirmation from command and everything be astroglide.

Not really going for abnormal thoughts, a muse is something that just kinda hits you and you think about it for a while. Something that grabs your attention when not much else does. I know that I get hit by them when I'm sitting here in insomnia, just wondering what others are thinking, trying to get into other people's heads <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

I wish I hadn't inherited this acursed Aquarium. Our vet is incompetent, the workers are lazy, and they tanks are never cleaned. Bussiness is dying and it's all that old man's fault. If my father had invested some honest effort into this place instead of investing in black tar heroin he might have left a respectable estate. I hate my family.

Trying to gather a bunch of broke college kids online to go out on a random late night waffle hunt is surprisingly difficult. That said I would kill for a fat stack of blueberry waffles with butter and syrup right now. Damn musings, now I'm going to be stuck on waffles, sweet buttery dreams of waffles tonight damnit <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

"Wouldn't it be neat to write a story where all the gods that people believe or believed in exist, but once people stop believing in them, they lose their powers and come down to Earth to assume protection roles in society, such as security guards, police officers and even crossing guards?

I'd never think of a plot, though. Oh well."

Imagine it: Thor as a high-school janitor.

Thor: "I just cleaned up that area. Could you atleast keep it clean for five minutes?"
Disrespectful teen: "Aren't you paid to clean up after me."
    <i>KA-POW!!!</i>
Thor: "What was that? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the <i>sound of thunder and mighty Mjolnir colliding with your skull!</i>"

It's been quite a while since something from this forum has made me laugh that hard.

    Pacific Standard Time: 12:47AM – 1:36AM (A torpid writer I am...)

Mind you, I might be considered cheating in this endeavour as I have thought about this for a few days now.

I believe the title of an attention harlot is very befitting for one such as myself, but as of late, I’ve repressed my urge to write my thoughts. Mind you, I have a blog, but in lieu of Internet culture and my own hollow character, I have had to rethink the way I do my writing.

Self-conscious and hollow as I am, I stand scared stiff as a paranoiac in fear of unwanted ridicule. Of course, the best protection is to reveal nothing about yourself... but I am not one to remain passive in self-expression.

    Exhibit A:
    <a href='http://www.links.net/daze/05/01/pix/darknight.mov' target='_blank'>70 megabytes worth of videotaped angst</a>

Easy as it is for me to laugh at this individual’s soul-bearing, I cannot deny the fact that I too am oft times compelled to express my own angst. I am, of course, not alone in this need, and therein lies a problem.

I need not discuss of the generic stereotyped pattern in regards to telematic angst/inane/indecipherable bantering littered amongst Livejournal/Xanga sites.

<b>Listening to: Linkin Park – Generic Angst Song #23</b>

<i> [copy and paste lyrics Generic Angst Song #23 from letssingit.com] </i>

    Outline:

    -Complaint over a "great" injustice
    -Rant against an authoratitve figure
-Complaints detailed against the opposite sex
    -Vague implication to self-inflicted harm

    P.S.
    No one understands me.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I laugh at them as much as any other individual. But what if the spotlight were to rest upon me… would I fare any better? In imposing this question, my smug superiority runs in shame.

To combat my sense impotency, I have resorted as of late resorted to superficial means to garner the eyes of admirers. A pathetic endeavour? Of course it is! But I dine voraciously on attention (which I have not had a healthy diet of, as of late). But I must <b>earn</b> my meals with dignity…

Instead of writing superfluous works, I have lately considered entwining style <i>and</i> substance to what I write (the former is healthy, the later is scarce). I do not know how well this project will go… and I will need an audience… would you netizens sacrifice your ears to my diatribes? I gladly accept a torrent of fungi infested tomatoes should I fail to present my life in an entertaining manner.

    Wow. What a coincidence..

2:00AM Exactly PST, Bainbridge Island, Washington.-

My friend Robby picked me up. He was with my other friends, Reece, Jon, and Kat. We then drove down the street to a park, **** around, they each drank a beer or two except me and kat, cause we hate beer. (At least I do, I don't know her story.) We then drove around the park, parked in some driveway listening to NIN's new album, and flipping around some more. I was dropped off, and here I am.

Quite a waste of an hour of my time. But hey, it's better than a sharp stick in my eye.
