I Want To Start Playing Ns

but...
I can't find a reasonably priced Half Life 1. I used to have one with its key registered to a steam account, but for whatever reason my password doesn't work on that account anymore, and I can't use my key. I didn't mind too much because I had stopped using it, but now I found out about NS and I want to try it. I went to Wal-Mart and all they had was the platinum pack or whatever with all the extra mods for 20 bucks. Gamestop didn't even have it. I'm kind of a cheap bastige, and I don't want to pay more than 15 dollars. I looked on ebay, but I don't have a pay pal or ebay account, and it would be kind of a pain in the arse. GoGamer.com wants to charge 21 bucks with shipping. Anyone know somewhere I can get it cheaper?

Download steam, and buy it directly from them. I think its 7.99 for a new HL1 CD key if I remember correctly. If you cant do that, try a local EB or other store and find a used copy for around the same price.

Instead of getting a new HL1, you might want to try CS 1.6. NS works with it too and it costs way less, something like 3-7$. But if I were you, I'd buy the platinum pack. Includes all the good games, like DoD, TFC, CS 1.6... Besides, if you'd look at the prices of them bought separately, you'd find it much higher. Hey, trust me, I'm a cheap bastard myself. Everything that I can save money on, I do so. Always look for the cheapest...

Shame that you have to have hl to play NS ^^ and yes buy it from steam with platinium if you want all goodies, if you are only for NS go for the CS its kinda cheaper and has same effect.

Hmm well, when I bought my Platinum pack about 2 years ago (which was pretty expensive lol), I ended up with 2 valid keys, one from my HL cd and one from the CS retail CD and both work on Steam, so you get 2 for 20$ and not just one
