I think there's some good ones in there, a lot of infestation.

...And because people are lazy: <a href='http://hem.bredband.net/soylent/selection.jpg' target='_blank'>pics</a>

    just add his name to the credits text in your map. It isn't THAT hard.

    Fixed some tiling issues, added some computer textures(standard NS wad ones modified into base texture + overlay to avoid making the whole texture as bright as the LEDs and screens), added screenie in first post because people are lazy.

    Added a bunch more textures. Link in first post is current. <a href='http://hem.bredband.net/soylent/selection2.jpg' target='_blank'>sample.</a>

    Most are remixes in one way or another from standard NS textures(e.g. computer textures split into base+ additive overlay, infested textures).

    For the most part I like them, but could you add more detail on the infested girder and wire textures, and in general could you make the infest more slimy, at the momebnt it's looking a bit dry and flakey.

    I imagine the infestation as a fuzzy mold, not slimy goo.

    the bottom left set of textures look wrong if you know what i mean. and if you use crappy jpeg creating software, jpegs will get that grain around the edges of them where it meets a solid color.

    thats better. nice and scifi looking.
    definetely a "I should think about creating a new map"-texture set.
    I will give it a try.

    only downside are the bottom left textures. maybe Im kinda sexually frustrated but they look like... boobies to me <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    If you are talking about the first pic, then those are the copper base plates from CPU heat sinks.

    You wouldn't be the ones who started <a href='http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=43298' target='_blank'>this</a> topic over at nvnews would you? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    never been to that site before..

    but who in their right mind would make a heatsink bottom that looked like that.. its just wrong.

    Aluminum extrusions and low profile skived copper are popular because they are cheap and easy to make and OEMs just love "cheap" and "works well enough".

    After market coolers are usually a little gimmicky though and often use spacey designs with heat pipes, copper, weird geometries, gold plating just because it looks cool, several low speed fans etc. Where there is circular symmetry there is usually automated turning and I guess they needed somewhere to stick those pointy holder things when working the metal block. Or maybe they just thought "hey what the hell our heat sink isn't a very good performer; let's make it look like a nipple and see if it sells" <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    BTW. those "nipples" are innies not outies.

    seriously, I saw this nicely made, very detailed set of textures. and suddenly... got "boobed".

    <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> just kidding. nice work.

    i dont like aftermarket heatsinks, the servers i tried aftermarket heatsinks on with, the cpu(s) generally ran alot hotter than with an oem heatsink.

    Could you make some "fading into infested" kind of textures?
