<div class="IPBDescription">It's really important</div> I think the mod makers should really mention how important is this setting on running a server. After I changed this from the default 100000 to half (at 50000) the pings on my server went also down to half and the game was soooo much smoother. I have a 512/512 adsl connection, an 1400 AMD CPU and 512 RAM of memory. My server runs smooth with 10 players on it at a sv_maxrate of 5000. strange with 6 or 7 players on the server I adjusted that variable everywhere.. even to extremes and it didn't make any difference for me

I posted this, as well as a few other settings you can use to drastically lower pings.
