<div class="IPBDescription">Yes, that's 2 in one day</div> I too have made a bot for NS. I'd appreciate it if people could try and test it please and give me feedback. I don't have any real webspace so this is hosted off of my home machine so be nice (Hammer the FTP and it will automatically ban you). It is waypoint based and I went ahead and made one up for bast, i have some people who have promised me ones for all of the others maps too. Anything, Bugs, Complaints, Compliments (Doubtful), ideas, yada yada yada, tell me.

I think both of you should work together on making the bot the best possible and thus cut at least a third of the development time off.

make it support metamod so clients can control it from decidicated servers running the bot

Heh, anyone else releasing mod's are in for a bad bad time. I think NS will have the market of new mods for quite a while. Make me a WWII mod like NS and I'll never get up from my computer!

I setup waypoints for ns_eclipse using rcbot and they're ok. As aliens they will build things and be pretty autonomous. As marines they're idiots. They won't take orders, but they will respond with a "roger that". They will build things if they are close to them. The biggest issue is that the marines get stuck on stuff, ie jump down into holes, etc. I redid the waypoints to make them totally avoid those spots but it was just a matter of time before they jumped back in there. Weird.

Yeah, I made some too for ns_eclipse (see topic for this bot for download) and had the same problems. It is really neccessary to be able to make handcrafted waypoints and be able to set points like "don't jump here" and "don't fire from here, search another point".

No offense Agrajag but it seems like Cheeseh is pretty well off, I know Cheeseh doesn't want to work as a team(and he has a valid point) but I think you might wanna ask him if he would let you take what he has already(i am assuming he is a head of you due to his massive updates <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and run with it. Of course who knows maybe you are ahead of him, either way I would love to try your bot.

I'm really Sorry about this whole thing.

On thursday when I posted this I really wasn't feeling too good, didn't make much note of it. That seriously got worse to the Point of hospitilization from this past thursday untill sunday. Basically I was really sick and didn't care much to play on the computer while I was feeling like such **obscenity**.

Anyways, it's alright, Cheeseh is well along and on top of it, he has done this before and knows what he is doing. I also really don't have much interest in continuing to work on this (or quite frankly anything) right now. Since my work is not exactly necessary (There is a bot for this already) I'm just gonna give up and go back to playing with other things. Sorry for any hopes I might have brought up or anything like that if there even were any.
