Until this complete ****tart of a 3.0.3 patch.
In the patch 3.0.2 rines already had some neat little tweaks, now with 3.0.3, its the last fecking drop.
In co as an alien you can forget winning 1v1 if the rine is good, since you now need 3 bites or 2 + para to kill him at lvl 1 armor!!!
Jp was already overpowered now with the armor upgrade nearly impossible to kill.
Siege was already overpowered since its hardly costs any res to make one, and if rines stick together (especially now with that flipping armor upgrade) aliens can forget it to break their line!
I played around 10 games in different server both co and NS, and not one of them the aliens won.
Its a big flipping shame this happend since NS imho WAS a good game, now its a unbalanced piece of crap.

Parasite your enemy and he'll lose his +5 Armor. The only problem is, that you may not miss him.
Or better yet, maby its time to learn to play alien, so that extra bite you need while rines still take 10 LMG rounds to kill you isn't that hard to make.

I can't speak for co_ as personally I'm not a fan of it, but from an ns_ point of view I would completely disagree. I've seen both aliens and marines win, it just means that it's a lot harder for a lone skulk to go around and take out a pair of marines.
In a way this *should* help improve alien teamwork, by not having Skulks rambo around on their own.
The sieges issue I don't think really applies as I haven't seen a hive properly sieged in NS for a long time and when i command I prefer to SG rush a hive than siege as it's quicker and usually far more effective.

from what i've seen so far ns maps seem more balanced. i don't see how the +5 armor overpowers jp <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
in co you need armor 2 and the new change dosen't actually affect armor 2. in ns i don't think jps usually come before armor 1 so no effect, and either way jps don't usually weld one another when rushing a hive from my experience.
the new patch also seems to encourage parasiting a lot. glad finally people get to know the use of parasiting, even if it is only to get a parasite kill <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
maybe there is a problem with your pubby servers
People were talking about how so much of the alien attack needed nerfing the week after 3.0f came out. As time went on, people realized it wasn't the be-all end all and so we've been doing only minor tweaks since there.
I suspect the same thing will happen here...
