I think the whole "360" thing is going to be played up with the lit up green power ring, which they're calling the <b>Ring of Light</b> and using in their advertising campaign. That's what I read at least...

Are the controllers all wireless? 'cuz all I see is something that looks like an IR sensor. If so, cool. I agree, it is a bit ugly. Good thing I'm not buying one. I only like consoles for multiplayer games anyway. And since pretty much all my friends will buy one sooner or later, I see no need to get one myself.

One quick question, why Xbox 360? Is it round or something? Can anyone confirm a reason for the name?

See, the Gamecube's name at least correlated somewhat with the shape of the thing, so I figure if they chose something like 360, it has to have some kind of significance, and isn't 100% pure BS marketing ploy. Is there some sort of ideology associated with the name at least?

Say it's Christmas. The mom knows that her son / daughter really wants some kind of game console. She looks in the store and sees two things:
1. Playstation 3
2. Xbox 2
The parent would probably think with their nub mind that the PS3 is better because of the number. And so Microsoft couldn't call their's the Xbox 4 or the Xbox 3 either could they? That'd be pretty lame. So they came up with the 360, which is also lame, and stuff.
I'm going for the Nintendo Pi.
