    Currently, the Restricted Members usergroup is equivalent to Members, except that they cannot post in the Discussions area (near off-topic).

    Early this morning I was asked by several people to look into the possibility of finding a way to restrict users from other individual forum sections. I warned them I'd likely have no time to look into it today. I was right; it's past 1AM, and here I am, coming back to the forums to answer posts like this instead of getting sleep after a long day <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Off-Topic is often funny, and sometimes informative. Discussion can be a good place to go if you want to see different views on a controvertial issue, but I stay away to keep from getting pulled into the debates.

    I took a look at the discussions forum just now, and it never fails to amaze how MANY people get put on restricted members list.

    Discussion about polygamy (somehow leads to homosexuality...yay) locked and some people restricted. Wow...didn't see THAT one coming at all.

    Discussion about the new Pope...2 people restricted *sigh*

    Why can't we all be CIVIL?

    when the discussion forum was in it's prime [right when the "war" in Iraq was starting] it was rather fun, but I see way to many one liners and nonsense for hardcore discussions to occur.

    Well, IIRC, it was a poorly concealed attempt by <s>AvengerX</s> "Ninja of the Night" to use Ye Olde Slippery Slope argument, so it's not that surprising.

    What's wrong with the discussion forums. I mean on the 1st page there's like 5 threads devoted to religion and why people who believe it are wrong.
