howdy there peoples, been away for a month or so and I go back to play and it seems I keep getting an error, can't seem to find the cause of it or how to fix it so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great, the error that comes up is when I go to join a server it reads:

Error verifying user steam id ticket

not exactly sure what that means, I know it downloaded a patch when I logged onto it and since they thats all I get

any help would be appreciated

Ive been told lowering your name to below 4 characters can help fix this problem.

SteamID Ticket problems seem to be at random, and can sometimes be cured by simply shortening your player name to 4 characters. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Others have also suggested deleting clientregistry.blob in your steam folder to cause steam to download a new ticket.

Have not tested either method so dont know if they work or not.
