And if old people have it then the military have had it for ages... I can't wait I can become a cyborg or pilot a mech. Just think, they now have a massive supply of new recruits, all trained in strategic thinking and willing to shed their cumbersome human shells in exchange for some firepower <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->. We've got superior reflexes and we've been trained to kill robots <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->. The only problem is they will lose about half of every batch of new recruits to people testing out the physics <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Me <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> If they don't include some sort of weapon I can launch myself through the air with then I'll protest.

I'll be sure to give you a large rocket based weapon you can shoot your own feet with then.

The military have been working on exo-suits for a while but as far as I know they haven't been linked to the body like this one, they just support the joints. I guess as they're designed for healthy soldiers rather than the elderly and infirm they didn't see the need.

This however looks a bit more advanced than the military ones, no dobut they'll be stealing the patent soon enough <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

i love it how every one talks about super powers here.... the hal is not able to produce such a big output.. just enought to hold your wheigt, and walk ..and step stairs... nothing more... i bet a healthy human would look like a tard with it..

if you need super powers look for the bleex (another darpa contract project).. still not a super bionic man sprinting machine, but you can carry relative heavy wheights on your back..
got some picture of in in the link below

    <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81468&view=findpost&p=1252748' target='_blank'>hmm... exoskeletons</a>
