<div class="IPBDescription">how long does it normaly take you?</div> This is just out of curiosity. ROUGHLY, how long does it take you to UV map a model? I say roughly because I know it varies due to the complexity of the model.
it all accords on what the model is, how complex it is, your tiredness rate, your stress level, and your enthusiasm level. Caffiene also boosts production speed.
Yes I'm aware of how it depends on whats being UV mapped, but a general idea is all I'm really looking for. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The longest period i've ever spent mapping a weapon fully is like 4 hrs. And that was a 2000 poly rifle.
I don't think you need to spend much more time than 5-6 hrs on Mapping, if you are, you're not doing it properly! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Obviously, complexity of the model can make it really hard, but if you know what you are doing (just thru practice) u really don't need to spend that much time
its quite a big file :/ and i could only dl it at 18kb a sec <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

its all dependent on the model

The only tut u'll ever need, it can be applied to u weapon modelers too.
I click on the DL link, and it does nothing.
Can anyone host it on an FTP and post a direct link plz?
