    Its not that the aliens have become magically better, it thats the amount skill it takes get in the face of a marine has been decreased. Becuase of this, and upgrades being free (you may have seen some people spend the two res Necro, but in clan matchs and on the pubs that I play on, it was hardly ever done) A1 is now required. I think a slight change in LMG damage, an increase, should be considered to see if it is an 'easy way out' from this problem.

    to my opinion armor2 is always required.
    good skulks either bunnyhop or ambush.

    big chance its still critical on bite 2.

    Marine lifespan increase:

    vs Skulk - +50%, +33%, +0%
    vs Lerk - +33%, +0%, +25%
    vs Fade - +50%, +0%, +33%
    vs Onos - +50%, +0%, +0%

    vs Focus Skulk - +100%, +0%, +0%
    vs Focus Lerk - +0%, +0%, +50%
    vs Focus Fade - +100%, +0%, +0%
    vs Focus Onos - +0%, +100%, +0%

    Generally speaking, Armor 1 has the most effect on a Marine's lifespan. If the Marines started with 5 more armor points, they would take 3 Skulk bites at Armor 0, making Armor 1 useful mainly against Fades.

    aye but what is the game balance change that comes with adding just less than a second on to killing basic marines? Perhaps if chambers stay as they are then it might work...*shrugs* it's a tough call.

    I was only suggesting it as a sarcastic option to break the perceived necessity of the upgrade path, not as a balance change. If it were implemented, it would break Focus's effect against Armor 0 Marines, and more than likely make early Lerks a necessity.

    I don't think the idea is without merit though, I just think that it highlights one fact...that trying to break such a dependancy will lead to very boring alien end games if marines are winning.

    Another step to overpower the opposing team... Shorter games.

    Maybe consider nerfing before buffing, for us long game lovers?...
