After a bit more then a year i am back in NS again.

Was setting up a server and while installing the latest patch, i saw a file Balance.txt

inside it i saw this:"

#define kRecloakTime 3.0f

i dont know if this file is used or is compiled in the game, but if so, then it can be a bug since all other lines are numbers only.

    I was asking about the ability to change these earlier, and supposedly it can't be done.

    As far as I gather, it's just a generated file of what all the balance settings are for the current ns.dll

    yea, it cant be changed, and the ns team wont allow it. i asked about it a long time ago, and talesin with a bunch of others are going "hmm, onos is too weak, his hp needs to be 185,000 and marines need to be able to do 1 dmg per bullet"

    basically being able to modify those values + admin abuse = terror. if these values were allowed to be changed, you wouldnt see a single ns server with standard values.

    what i actualy mean is, if this list is used to compile there might be a bug in ns cloack since the value is 3.0f

    My idea is that the f is a mistake there <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    *Double posted...*

    *NOTE TO SERVER ADMINS: Get a better connection/server hosting...this one sucks, so slow!

    Maybe it was taken out in 3.0f or something?

    There is:
    #define kCloakTime 6.00
    ...
    #define kUncloakTime 0.50

    I don't think there is a Recloak value, just a cloaking value...or maybe they scrapped the idea and just didn't remove the entry for ease of reimplementation if necessary. Just a thought.

    3.0f = 3.0 as a floating-point value. It's just part of C syntax
