<div class="IPBDescription">Where is everyone?</div> Is it normal to have zero servers operating or did an error occur during my installation?

The game appears to run fine but I see no other games or players.

make sure u have latest build and filters are set properly

My version is 3.0 beta1 (downloaded today from fileplanet)

My filter is set on "Natural Selection.." as well as "all" on all the other tabs such as password protected, players on server, regions, and similar tabs.

Am I missing something?

That's your problem. The latest version is 3.0. 3.0b1 is really old.

First, Thank You to everyone that has responded to this post.

Here's the update: I went back to file planet and downloaded the lastest update I saw which was beta four (patch). I removed all the old NS files and went into half-life and moved about both in the single player and hazard course. Then I exited HL, exited steam, and reloaded NS (it went automatically into c:\programfiles\steam\steamapps\gunslin...\half-life\nsp). I can see this file under 3rd party games. So far so good. I then installed the beta 4 update to the SAME directory. But I STILL can not retrieve any servers...except one which under the current installation process I can't get into due to different client.dlls (should I not install the update to original NS file?) ...but no one is on the server anyway.

I really dont know what to do at this point. If anyone has suffered through this problem or has any suggestions PLEASE dont hesitate in relaying them. The game looks really cool and I can not wait to try it.

One last note: I am able to create my own little server and run around and shoot.

u need 3.0 final not beta 4 go to the link and download it then install were i told u C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\email@.com\half-life

C for wherever steam is at and play half life once

just scroll doen a little but and u will see 3.0
everyone has 3.0
and thats what u need not nething else

what is your aim or xfire name and i will help u threw this if u cant get it

I see everyone now that I finally got it through my thick skull that the correct version was out of Beta Testing.

I gave up on file planet and downloaded it from the mirrors I should of used in the first place. Looks like it will be a great afternoon after my last class gets out.
