Lags During Hosting Of Pvt Server

Hi guys, I've been trying to host private server for some bot training wif a couple of my friends...I do koe that NS 3.0 Final is having a LAG problem. After all Public Server upgraded to NS 3.01, the lag problem is solved. I was wondering if you guys have any ideas for me to counter this LAG problem for a private server?

the number of friends joining my server is around 4-5 peeps...they normally reach a ping of 1-2k and above during combat fights with the bots.

    If you are runnign a dedicated server then upgrade to 3.0.1 because that is the solution for your problems. If you are running a server from your machine while playing on it then you are going to experience these kinds of problems.
