Natural Selection: Infestation

<div class="IPBDescription">Movie screenplay released to the public.</div> The Natural Selection: Infestation project, dormant for a year now, has decided to go public. The screenplay is now available for viewing at our <a href='http://nsmovie.digitaldx.com' target='_blank'>website</a> in HTML format or as a downloadable ZIP archive containing the HTML files.

The NS:Movie project aimed to create a full-length, Hollywood-style movie based on the NS universe. We wrote a screenplay, created the art and some of the music, but couldn't find a good animator. Hence, the project couldn't succeed.

The movie follows a group of second-string TSA marines, on a routine escort mission to refit and upgrade an old observation post. When they arrive to find the base non-functional and abandoned, they find themselves in a deadly struggle, not only with the enemy, but between each other.

Looks good so far, I'm gonna try to read all of it ASAP.

Edit: This is extremely interesting as a plot script, as you've included detailed descriptions and what the movie would look like. I'm really liking this so far! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Well, that sucks (the animator part..not the thing itself, it's awesome!). Wish I was a pro-animator...sadly I lack the skills...

    Awesome screenplay though!

Thanks guys... Nice to know you guys like it... I'm just hoping someone out there will actually produce it, so PK and I will have a reason to write the sequel <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I hope that you got permission to do this as you could be in violation of copyright laws. I'd submit this to Unknownworlds as you are working with thier intelectual property. As this is the one thing i know they own, they are gonna be frieking protective of this baby.
Other than that i wish you the best of luck.

The movie was going to be free, just like all of the other fan-art out there. The only money currently involved is the monthly fee I'm paying to keep the site up, and the only money that would be involved if it finished would be FilePlanet (et al) charging people for subscriptions when every other server hosting it had croaked <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Anyway, we've discussed that before, and if it even had the potential to become profitable, the first thing we would have done was contact Flayra and the gang to see what could be worked out.

Hell, if it was profitable, it'd be easy... The trick is finding animators who are NS players and would work for free.

Actors... is it going to be recorded in NS on a server, with custom models and such?

We had some more elaborate plans in that department...

But as I said, the project is pretty much over. We couldn't find the right people, so we couldn't do it.

It's a huge shame. HOWEVER, you may be able to make it into a book!
